This is a blog that we used to use when eBay had a lively blog community. We would update this blogger site with material that we prepared using the daily posts there to encourage sales of our merchandise (mostly books) at our eBay store. eBay, for reasons of their own, discontinued their blogging facility about a year and half ago ago, and so now we have another blog that we are updating periodically.
It is the middle of the summer in Central Texas, the debate rages if we will have enough 100+ degree days in succession to qualify for a record. While we enjoy the clear blue skies, the penalty is that the water sources that we use are slowly being depleted, and the little creatures that visit our little "ranch" in the back yard are obviously stressed. (We heard from an international guest to our home-based business we do not have a bricks-and-mortar store yet) that he saw a squirrel in an old tree house plopped out flat on his stomach in complete exhaustion).
We are putting out little pans of water for the tiny lizards and amphibians, and the birds come by the bird bath frequently for drinks. We have to refill all the little reservoirs twice a day because of both consumption and evaporation.
