We know some of you have been watching the Twilight Zone Marathon. And we saw one of our most dreaded favorites a little while ago. You know the one, with the little boy, played by Billy Mumy. He plays young Anthony Fremont. And all the adults are cringing in the corner when he lets loose with his mutant super-human power. Poor Dan Hollis, he just wanted to have a birthday party, but he had a couple too many sips of the last of the peach brandy, and he spoiled all the fun. He wanted to listen to the Perry Como album that his wife gave him. Big mistake.
That's because little Anthony Fremont doesn't like singing, just music with a melody. His mother shakes her head to Dan, trying to discourage his request, sitting behind Anthony. They had been watching television on that weird place, where they don't know if Earth was destroyed, or that somehow they are floating around in some kind of air-bubble asteroid that was detached from Earth. They got to watch some loud and scary dinosaurs that Anthony conjured up with his mind and projected into the television directly from his mind. "It's a Good Thing" they all murmur, and applaud the grotesque battle between the dinosaurs, where one dinosaur gores the other with a giant horn and then flings it into a bottomless pit.
Don starts singing "You Are My Only Sunshine". Things take an ugly turn as Anthony gets riled. Don Hollis begs the gathered adults to take care of Anthony, while his thoughts are occupied with Anthony. Anthony finally says: "You're a bad man, a very bad man". You know there is going to be big trouble, as everyone sweats and cringes. We consider this scene to be the most terrifying moment in TV history, at least for the staff of the Hi-Tech-And-Antique eBay Store. And one that will keep us up late tonight. "It's a Good Life", we're lucky to see it only once in a year.
