The image to the right is a seldom seen view of a mighty island which few of its inhabitants have ever beheld, it is a watery view of the skyline of Manhattan seen from the Long Island Sound. We are sailing the seven seas, or in this case the Sound, in search of fabulous bargains and rare treasures. Since this is the book capital of the Western Hemisphere, we will be sure to pick up a few tomes for those of you in the eBay universe out there. The view is from a sturdy and fast-moving yacht, off the northern coast of Long Island, as we round the curve of Manhasset Bay. The local shores nearby are infested with the sprawling mansions of the mighty titans of industry and the entertainment world, something out of an F. Scott Fitzgerald novel, which actually might be one of the "Eggs", probably Big Egg that he wrote about in "The Great Gatsby" which was a fictional re-creation of the life in these fabulous parts. We will need to sell a lot of books to live here, but we are just enjoying the waning days of Fall as the grey skies and rain slowly move in from the north. We are dressing warmly and watching the skies for the blustery weather which we are braving to find the bargains for our eBay Hi-Tech-And-Antique Store Customers. Please don't click the Red Door. The Store has no bargains. We are busily shopping for new merchandise and will be going to this teeming island of a million and a half people in the next couple of days to see what is for sale.
